1、 The waist and abdomen can’t provide running power, but why do runners need to strengthen their waist and abdomen.

Almost all sports need enough lumbar and abdominal strength. Strong lumbar and abdominal muscles play a stable and supporting role in body posture and special movements. The technical movements of any sport can not be completed by a single muscle. It must mobilize many muscle groups to do work in coordination. Whether it is a strong leg kick and swing, or a stable arm swing of the upper limb, it needs to take the lumbar and abdominal muscles as the support point for the strength of the upper and lower limbs. Therefore, we can see that people with good waist and abdomen strength start running. Although the action frequency of upper limb swing arm and lower limb swing leg is very high, the trunk remains stable all the time. When people with insufficient core strength start running, their trunk twists disorderly and their pelvis swings up and down. In this way, the strength generated by the upper and lower limbs is unnecessarily consumed by the soft and weak core, which greatly reduces the running efficiency.
